Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton will not likely suit up for Week 16 against the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Andy Dalton unlikely to play Week 16, AJ McCarron presents fantasy risk
The odds of Andy Dalton making another appearance in the regular season grow smaller. We break down the fantasy implications.

Dalton has already been ruled out for Week 15 after fracturing his thumb on an attempted tackle, and even in a game that could determine if the Bengals earn a first-round bye, he will likely be held out of action. AJ McCarron would be in line for another start, and the odds grow smaller that the Bengals will have Dalton under center again in the regular season.
Fantasy impact: There isn't a thick book on McCarron for fantasy owners to read from yet, but a drop off in the overall production of the offense can be expected, as would be the case with any backup quarterback. Against the San Francisco 49ers, the Bengals have a matchup that could still be fantasy-friendly to A.J. Green and company, but the Broncos will pose a much bigger threat the following week.
McCarron can be considered a streaming option in deeper leagues for Week 15, but should not be penned into any lineups for the week of fantasy championships.
