Baltimore Ravens quarterback Matt Schaub practiced for the second consecutive day, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun.
Matt Schaub practicing, but in discomfort, per report; doesn’t deserve fantasy consideration
The Ravens’ veteran quarterback could sit another week despite practicing Thursday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Zrebiec cautioned, however, that despite Schaub's attendance, the veteran quarterback did not look comfortable. Schaub sat out Week 14's loss to the Seattle Seahawks due to a shoulder injury, but he is tentatively expected to suit up on Sunday despite his discomfort. Jimmy Clausen would get the start in his place once again if Schaub is not well enough to take the field.
Fantasy impact: Whichever quarterback is under center is irrelevant for the likes of Kamar Aiken and Javorius Allen, as each would be expected to struggle against a swarming Kansas City Chiefs defense. The Ravens are presented with another low-floor matchup in a lost season with Joe Flacco, Justin Forsett and Steve Smith sidelined.
Neither Schaub nor Clausen would deserve starting consideration on Sunday during the fantasy semifinals.
