Fantasy football projections, Week 15: Broncos-Steelers featuring Demaryius Thomas, Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger

The Week 15 matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Pittsburgh Steelers features two teams with strength at the wide receiver position. We've got the fantasy projections courtesy of numberFire.

Brock Osweiler attempted a career high of 51 pass attempts against the Oakland Raiders last week. He tried his best to lead the Broncos to victory but it just didn't happen. Osweiler will again start under center against the Steelers. He has been a mediocre fantasy option so far but if there is good news, the backup to Peyton Manning did throw for his first 300-yard game against the Raiders. This matchup features a really good defense against a really good Steelers offense. Maybe if Osweiler finds himself trying to overcome a huge deficit, he ends up putting points on the board out of necessity.

Should that scenario come to fruition, wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is going to be extremely important to the game plan. He'll be counted on to keep the chains moving. Thomas caught 10 out of 14 passes last week for 95 yards. While the team might still be better off with Manning calling the shots, its clear Osweiler favors Thomas over teammate Emmanuel Sanders. It looks like having the backup play significant minutes may actually be giving Thomas's fantasy value a bump up during this postseason run.

Wide receiver Antonio Brown caught seven out of 10 passes for 87 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals last week. A big chunk of those yards came on the team's second possession of the game. He looked to be in for a huge fantasy day but since the Steelers were up by so many points and they were scoring touchdowns via the running game, Brown's involvement tapered off as the contest went along. Even still, regardless of matchup, Brown has been the No. 1 receiver in fantasy football this year. The Broncos will no doubt blanket him but he will still be a bigger part of the offense than most receivers, This game should be close, meaning that he will be involved until the fourth quarter.

Speaking of the running game, D'Angelo Williams was a busy man against the Bengals last week. He rushed the ball 23 times for 76 yards and found himself in the end zone on two different occasions. Few would argue that he's done a superb job in replacing starter Le'Veon Bell, both at the beginning of the season when Bell was out due to suspension and even now with Bell sidelined thanks to a season-ending injury. Denver's defense is top-notch but their pass defense is a little bit stronger than their rush defense. By default that means Williams could be a busy man again in Week 15.
