New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (knee) is active for the team's Week 15 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
Rob Gronkowski injury update: TE active for Patriots, fantasy owners
The New England Patriots tight end is active for Week 15. We break down the fantasy implications.
Gronkowski was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday. He was absent from practice on Friday for personal, non-injury related reason but that wasn’t expected to affect his availability for Sunday.
Fantasy impact: With Gronkowski fully recovered from his knee injury, he’ll be in line for his usual full-size workload. In his first week back from the injury last week, the star tight end finished with four receptions for 87 yards and one touchdown on four targets.
The Titans aren’t particularly adept at defending tight ends. Their defense allows the 12th-most fantasy points to them. It wouldn’t have made much of a difference is Gronkowski’s case anyways, as he pretty much defines the term “matchup proof.”
Owners should continue to rely on Gronkowski as the best TE1 in the game by a wide margin.
