Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck (abdomen, kidney) has been ruled out for the team's Week 15 matchup against the Houston Texans. Luck was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but was then held out on Friday. He never had a realistic chance at suiting up this week but the Colts are hopeful that they'll have their franchise signal caller back for Week 16 against the Miami Dolphins.
Andrew Luck injury update: QB ruled out for Colts, fantasy owners
The Indianapolis Colts quarterback has been ruled out for Week 15. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: The Colts will turn to veteran Matt Hasselbeck for what they hope will be the last time. Hasselbeck has been serviceable as a spot-starter but the 40 year-old's body is on the verge of breaking down. He's currently dealing with a rib injury that has caused him to have a hard time breathing. Even in a decent matchup against the Texans defense, fantasy owners in need of a quarterback can almost certainly do better on the waiver wire. He's a bottom-barrel QB2.
