Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware is officially active for the team's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. Ware has been dealing with a rib injury. Even though he's not dealing with a fracture, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Monday that Ware's bruises were creating a lot of pain for the third-year back. He returned to practice on Friday, but he'll likely see a limited number of snaps as he continues to recover. Charcandrick West figures to handle the majority of backfield duties on Sunday.
Spencer Ware injury update: Chiefs RB is active for fantasy owners Week 15
Spencer Ware is returning to the field on Sunday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: Ware’s status does more harm than good at this point. Fantasy owners are better off avoiding his questionable snap count, and West owners lose some edge to an otherwise strong RB1 start for the week. The Ravens have defended the run well and are ranked sixth in the league in yards per carry allowed to opposing teams. However, the Ravens aren’t much of an offensive threat. It’s likely that the Chiefs use their run game to control the lead for a good portion of the game. West can still be considered a high-end RB2 for the week.
