New England Patriots running back James White proved he's the pass-catching specialist out of the Patriots' backfield on Sunday.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 16: James White becomes Patriots RB to own
James White emerged as the top RB in New England on Sunday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

White caught 7-of-8 targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in a Week 15 win over the Tennessee Titans. He carried the ball once for 6 yards.
Meanwhile, running back Brandon Bolden battled for early down work with Joey Iosefa. Iosefa out-carried Bolden 14-10. White will look to keep his momentum going against the New York jets in Week 16.
Fantasy impact: As difficult as the Patriots' backfield can be to trust, exceptions come along and tend to stick around awhile. Dion Lewis was a consistent fantasy contributor until his Week 9 injury ended his season.
White seems to be the closest thing to Lewis at this point. He's clearly building chemistry with quarterback Tom Brady and is a huge asset in PPR leagues.
White will be more of a flex option in standard leagues, but he’s in the RB2 conversation for PPR owners. White is available in nearly half of Yahoo! leagues as of Monday.
