The Indianapolis Colts have ruled out quarterback Andrew Luck for next Sunday’s Week 16 game against the Miami Dolphins. Luck still has no timetable for a return.
Andrew Luck ruled out for Week 16, fantasy owners can move on
Luck will miss at least one more game with his kidney injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Luck hasn’t played since Week 9 as he tries to recover from a lacerated kidney. The Colts were hoping to get him back as early as Week 15, but he continues to sit out as Indianapolis fades from the playoff race. At 6-8, the Colts are one game behind the Houston Texans in the AFC South and would be eliminated with one more loss.
Matt Hasselbeck is expected to get one more start, but he’s been constantly beat up in recent weeks. Charlie Whitehurst remains the primary backup.
Fantasy impact: If you’ve been hanging on to Luck in re-draft leagues, it’s safe to drop him now that he’s out for championship week. It’s been a disappointing season for Luck, who played only seven games this year and has almost never been healthy. He’ll look to rebound in 2016, possibly with a new head coach. Dynasy/keeper players could try buying low on Luck in the offseason.
