Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer is expected to practice Wednesday, according to Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle.
Brian Hoyer practicing Wednesday, per report; fantasy status unclear
The Texans could get their starting quarterback back into action on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Wilson cautioned that Hoyer remains in the NFL's concussion protocol, and that practicing doesn't necessarily mean that he will be cleared to play on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, despite "feeling good." Hoyer suffered his second concussion over the course of a month in Week 14, but it is apparent that the Houston Texans would love to have its starting quarterback under center with the division crown in reach. Third-stringer Brandon Weeden would get the start if Hoyer is unable to be cleared in time.
Fantasy impact: DeAndre Hopkins' owners are praying that Hoyer can be cleared in time for Sunday's game, as Hoyer would at least give him the floor that Weeden does not provide. Hopkins managed to secure 8-of-11 targets for 94 yards against the Colts with Weeden and T.J. Yates at the helm, but there's an upside with Hoyer that his backups would not provide to the team's No. 1 receiver.
Hoyer’s plus matchup would garner streaming consideration in deeper leagues, but fantasy owners who have made it this far likely have better options than waiting on his clearance for Sunday. Weeden deserves no fantasy consideration for Week 16.
