Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) is listed as doubtful for the team's Week 16 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Alshon Jeffery injury update: WR doubtful for Bears, fantasy owners
The Chicago Bears wide receiver is listed as doubtful for Week 16. We break down the fantasy implications.
Jeffery was unable to participate in practice any day this week after leaving last week’s game with tightness in the same hamstring.
Fantasy impact: With Jeffery likely out for the week, the Bears' depleted receiving corps will consist of Eddie Royal, Mark Mariani and Josh Bellamy.
If you had to gamble on a Chicago wide receiver, it would be Royal as he’s the most proven of the bunch but he’s still a ways away from fantasy relevance.
The main beneficiaries will likely be tight end Zach Miller and running backs Matt Forte and Jeremy Langford, both of whom are receiving threats out the backfield.
While the Tampa's defense isn't likely to give the Bears offense too many fits, fantasy owners in need of a WR would be wise to look past the Chicago scraps. Zach Miller will be a serviceable back-end TE1.
