Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer (concussion) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 16 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
Brian Hoyer injury update: QB questionable for Texans, fantasy owners
The Houston Texans quarterback is listed as questionable for Week 16. We break down the fantasy implications.
Hoyer was a limited participant in practice throughout the week. Despite the limited participation, Hoyer is still not expected to suit up this week. Brandon Weeden will step in for him.
Fantasy impact: Hoyer has a chance to return to the field next week but the inept Brandon Weeden will be under center this week, severely limiting the value of many of the Texans’ skill positions.
Anyone who followed the Dallas Cowboys (Weeden's previous team until Nov. 17) knows that he's completely incapable of competently running an offense.
While he didn't have Dez Bryant for most of his time in Dallas and will now get to work with another stud in DeAndre Hopkins, there's simply no reason to take him seriously.
Owners in deep two-quarterback leagues can still likely do better than Weeden on the waiver wire.
