New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees (foot) is listed as questionable for the team's Week 16 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Brees did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday but all indications are that he will suit up on Sunday barring a setback.
Drew Brees injury update: QB questionable for Saints, fantasy owners
The New Orleans quarterback is listed as questionable for Week 16. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy implications: Even though he's dealing with a Grade 2 torn plantar fascia, Brees is fulling willing to manage and play throught the overwhelming pain that accompanies the injury. It didn't slow him down much at all last week against the Detroit Lions as he finished the game with 341 yards passing, three touchdowns and no interceptions. The ultra-tough Brees even managed to pick up another 11 yards on the ground. Owners shouldn't let the injury prevent them from starting Brees in the fantasy championship, especially against Jaguars. Their defense allows the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Brees remains an QB1 with plenty of upside.
