New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman (foot) is officially inactive for the team's Week 16 matchup against the New York Jets. Edelman was a limited participant in practice throughout the week but the Patriots want him fully healthy for the playoffs and its likely that Edelman has played his last regular season snap of 2015.
Julian Edelman injury update: WR inactive for Patriots, fantasy owners
The New England Patriots wide receiver is inactive for Week 16. We break down the fantasy implications.
Fantasy impact: The Patriots receiving corps are extremely dinged up right now. In addition to Edelman being out, Danny Amendola will be inactive. Brandon LaFell and Keshawn Martin will likely be the team's starting receivers. LaFell can be considered a low-end WR3, but All Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski projects is the main beneficiary of any more missed time and remains the elite TE1 play by a wide margin. Running back James White has also seen a decent share of targets in the passing game. Quarterback Tom Brady remains a QB1 despite his dwindling receiving corps.
