Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is officially inactive for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jeffery has been dealing with a hamstring injury since leaving the field early in Week 15 after feeling tightness. Sunday will mark Jeffery's sixth absence of the regular season. Receivers Eddie Royal and Josh Bellamy will likely operate as the team's starting receivers. The Bears continue to deal with wide receiver issues. Rookie Kevin White (leg) never took the field in 2015, and Marquess Wilson (foot) was sent to injured reserve in December.

Fantasy impact: As frustrating as Jeffery’s status is for fantasy owners during fantasy championships, owners are likely used to preparing for weeks without him. It sounds as though Jeffery would have been a gamble for fantasy owners if he ended up playing. He may have been best avoided under any circumstance. Jeffery’s injuries this season will likely lower his re-draft value in 2016.
