New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola is inactive for Sunday's game against the New York Jets. The team ruled both Amendola (knee) and Julian Edelman (foot) out on Saturday, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss. The team will be left with Brandon LaFell and Keshawn Martin starting at wide receiver. There's a chance that both Amendola and Edelman return in Week 17.
Danny Amendola injury update: Patriots WR ruled out during fantasy championships
Danny Amendola won’t be playing in Week 16. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Amendola's dwindling usage and health make for a bit of silver lining for fantasy owners that planned on starting him. Even if Amendola were to suit up in Week 16, he'd be competing with LaFell, tight end Rob Gronkowski and running back James White for targets. Amendola would have been a risky proposition for fantasy owners entering their final week of the season. He showed flashes of production after Edelman was lost in Week 10, but couldn't keep it together physically. Amendola is better off riding fantasy benches for owners advancing into Week 17.
