Minnesota Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon managed a lot of production with few touches in Sunday's 49-17 win over the New York Giants. McKinnon managed 89 rushing yards with seven carries. He added two receptions for eight yards. Most of McKinnon's damage occurred in garbage time. Week 17 will be a critical match up against the Green Bay Packers as both teams look to claim the AFC North.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 17: Jerick McKinnon surprises with 97 yards, two touchdowns
Jerick McKinnon had a big week even with a healthy Adrian Peterson. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: There isn't much value in McKinnon with just one regular season game remaining. Week 17 is an important game for the Vikings, and Adrian Peterson will continue to start as a result. McKinnon may be worth a desperation start in deeper leagues. The Packers appeared helpless against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 16. If the Vikings can secure a comfortable lead, McKinnon could see a handful of meaningful snaps once again. However, there should be better options than McKinnon in most leagues even with many starters resting in the final week of the NFL regular season.
