Washington running back Pierre Thomas saw a decent timeshare in the backfield on Saturday after being signed off the streets in Week 14. Thomas carried the ball four times for 22 yards and caught 7 of 8 targets for 67 yards in a win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Thomas was the team's pass-catching specialist for the day with Alfred Morris handling early down work. Matt Jones was ruled out with a hip injury and Chris Thompson took an unexpected backseat for the day.
Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 17: Pierre Thomas leads Washington backfield in yards
Pierre Thomas had his best game of the season on Saturday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Washington has the No. 4 seed locked for the playoffs. Week 17 won't have any postseason implications outside of the desire to win a division rivalry for both Washington and the Dallas Cowboys. The Washington Post reported on Monday that coach Jay Gruden is unsure whether he will rest the majority of his starters.
Fantasy impact: Thomas would certainly be a desperation play for fantasy owners in Week 17. He may get more opportunity with starters resting for the final game of the regular season, but his usage would be a big gamble. He’s worth stashing in deep PPR leagues for owners losing skill players before the playoffs. Jones could also return. He was practicing on a limited basis prior to Week 16 and could return for the regular season finale. Thomas is a risky RB4.
