Houston Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer will start Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to ESPN's Ed Werder.
Brian Hoyer clears concussion protocol, presents fantasy upside
The Texans are on the cusp of a playoff berth and will turn back to their starting quarterback. We break down the fantasy implications.

Hoyer suffered two concussions in the span of a month, but will take the field for the first time since exiting Week 14's contest against the New England Patriots. The Texans have virtually clinched a playoff spot, but it would be in the team's interest to have a healthy Hoyer able to shake off any rust before the postseason begins. Week 17 would provide that opportunity, and Hoyer is slated to start as a result.
Fantasy impact: Hoyer’s matchup against a shaky Jacksonville Jaguars defense is a fabulous one, and fantasy owners who subscribe to streaming quarterbacks will definitely take notice. Hoyer already torched the Jaguars for 293 yards and three touchdowns in Week 6, and is presented with another high ceiling despite his recent absence.
Hoyer can be considered a high-upside QB2 for Week 17's finale, and fantasy owners who want contingency options for Andy Dalton or Kirk Cousins would be wise to give Hoyer a look.
