After being sidelined due to a kidney laceration in Week 9, there were hopes that Luck could return to the Colts for a late-season playoff run amid a weak AFC South division. But that’s now been put to rest with the Colts needing a win and help from nine other teams on Sunday in order to clinch a playoff berth.
Fantasy impact: The long-term health of a franchise quarterback is being prioritized by Colts brass, which is exactly to be expected amid a lost season, even though the team is not yet technically eliminated. With Matt Hasselbeck and Charlie Whitehurst both not considered options for Week 17, the quarterback position comes down to Ryan Lindley, Josh Freeman and Stephen Morris.
In other words, fantasy owners should not take any part in the Colts offense on Sunday. Move along.
