Arizona Cardinals running back Kerwynn Williams was signed off of the team's practice squad heading into Week 13. He managed to make the most of his opportunity, rushing for 59 yards and a touchdown off of six carries on Sunday. Williams out-touched running back Stepfan Taylor for the afternoon. Taylor ultimately left the game with a shoulder injury. It's likely that Williams will continue operating behind running back David Johnson in Week 14.
Kerwynn Williams emerges as Cardinals No. 2 RB, worth waiver stash during fantasy playoffs
Kerwynn Williams may be the Cardinals’ No. 2 RB down the stretch. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Williams may not offer any consistent production as long as he's backing up Johnson. With running back Andre Ellington (turf toe) sidelined, he's worth an add in deeper leagues. Any time a running back moves up the depth chart in a high-octane offense, it deserves attention. Williams makes for a speculative add that could possibly fall into a larger role in the event of an injury during fantasy playoffs. If nothing else, Johnson owners would be wise to pick him up for insurance over the remaining weeks of the season.
