Davante Adams was held without a catch in the Green Bay Packers' second preseason game, although it appears he will have plenty of targets coming his way in the wake of a key injury. Jordy Nelson, who accounted for 1,519 yards, 151 targets and 12 touchdowns last season, will miss the season after tearing his ACL on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. As a result, Adams will be in line for a much higher workload than anticipated in 2015.
Davante Adams silenced in second preseason game, but fantasy buzz grows louder
The second-year wideout was expected to play a key role for the Green Bay Packers in 2015 already, but with Jordy Nelson injured, that role will increase. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Spin: In other words, Nelson leaves behind market shares of 29 percent of the team's targets, 34 percent of the receiving yards, and 31 percent of the receiving touchdowns in an offense with the elite Aaron Rodgers at the helm. Though Adams won't soak up all of these numbers, he is in line to take the majority of them after Randall Cobb.
With this workload available, and with Adams’ intriguing measurables and talent, the sophomore receiver is firmly in the WR2 conversation. It is safe to say he will see his average draft position skyrocket from the late rounds to middle rounds.
