Matt Ryan has a new backup in Rex Grossman, fantasy status unchanged
Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has a new backup in Atlanta. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Grossman will serve as backup to Ryan, with new teammate T.J. Yates moving down to third in the pecking order. The reality is that neither Grossman nor Yates should see the field much in 2015. That's because Ryan hasn't missed a regular season game since 2009.
Add that to the fact that Grossman hasn’t appeared in a regular season game since 2011, and it’s easy to see that the former 2003 first-round pick is merely an insurance policy should anything happen to Ryan. Fantasy owners need to know who the backup is in Atlanta just in case. But unless something out of the ordinary happens or Ryan gets hurt, Grossman won’t see the field during the 2015 regular season.
