Johnny Manziel will not play Saturday, fantasy prospects for regular season unknown
Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is going to be held out of Saturday’s preseason finale. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Last season, the hype machine that is Johnny Football came to a screeching halt. He struggled mightily to prove himself and Brian Hoyer became the Browns' hands down starter as the season progressed.
This year, Manziel is faced with the prospect of backing up veteran Josh McCown. McCown is hardly a bona-fide, go-to guy, so there is certainly a chance Manziel finds himself in another quarterback battle in 2015. Whether or not he actually comes out on top this time around remains to be seen. Fantasy owners are better off not to invest in any of the Browns’ passers unless they are participating in a two-quarterback format or in a considerably deep league. Manziel would only be worth a look once McCown inevitably struggles during the season.
