2015 fantasy football rankings: Wide receivers for standard leagues, preseason Week 3

With two of the position’s biggest stars going down with injury, it was time for us to update our 2015 fantasy football wide receiver rankings.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Early in the offseason, I ranked my top 200 players for 2015 fantasy. I upgraded it semi-regularly -- every two, three weeks, sometimes every month. It wasn’t conclusive, but it did keep us somewhat up to date on the comings and goings. Boy, can you imagine if we waited that long now?

It's been 11 days since our fantasy football season preview came out. We included rankings at quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end and defense, plus PPR ranks for running back and receiver. Now, 11 days late, not much has changed at most of those positions -- some guys have established and/or lost their roles, some defenses have changed, but not much else.

Except, of course, at receiver. Two days after our preview came out, Carolina Panthers receiver Kelvin Benjamin tore his ACL and was lost for the year. Sunday, Green Bay Packers receiver Jordy Nelson did the same.

It’s one thing if a guy at the bottom of the rankings goes down, but those were two of our top 15 receivers. Within the next week (give or take), we’ll have a full preseason update of our rankings, but those injuries necessitated an early jump on receivers. Below, you’ll find the updated consensus ranks for standard wide receivers, final as of Wednesday night.

(Editor’s update: Because timing is a cruel mistress, we published these rankings Thursday morning before news of a possible suspension for Martavis Bryant came down. We are monitoring the news, and will update as any suspension is finalized. Check back next week for a full consensus re-ranking of all positions.)
