In wake of Demarco Murray's departure, Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle has not yet distinguished himself as the team's featured running back, per beat reporter Drew Davison.
Joseph Randle amid committee approach for Cowboys backfield, fantasy value waning
No running back in the Cowboys’ backfield has distinguished himself from the pack, according to a beat reporter. We break down the fantasy implications.

Until that day happens—and that's "if," not "when,"—the Cowboys appear to be content with deploying a committee approach in the backfield with Randle, Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar. Dunbar's role appears clear as a change-of-pace back, while McFadden and Randle could split early-down and goal-line work.
Fantasy Spin: It’s a stretch to imagine the Cowboys can produce rushing numbers at the level they did in 2014 with Murray having the keys to the backfield, although they ought to still run the ball effectively behind an elite offensive line. There’s production to be had here, although whoever benefits most isn’t likely to present enough value to dominate fantasy leagues the way Murray did.
Randle remains the safest bet to capitalize with the oft-injured McFadden complementing him, but it's quite the gamble to select him at his third-round average draft position when players like Alfred Morris, Frank Gore, Melvin Gordon and Carlos Hyde should be there for the taking.
