Hey, so I have a platform, and I’m going to say words. (I’m also going to rank quarterbacks in a few paragraphs, so if you don’t care about my words, feel free to scroll.)
Fantasy football rankings 2015: One man’s top 32 quarterbacks
Why would you want everyone’s rankings to look the same? I’m here to break down quarterbacks in 2015 fantasy football rankings following the third full weekend of the preseason schedule. We’ll be back with a consensus ranking later this week or check out our earlier consensus rankings.

On Friday, I updated my personal fantasy football top-150 rankings, in an effort to help people who were drafting over the weekend. Now, I have some unique thoughts for this season. I'm not high on Adrian Peterson, for one. I think there are some definite first-round quarterbacks out there. I have a standing bet with John Daigle that Victor Cruz will outperform Anquan Boldin per game this year. Heck, I have Eli Manning as my No. 4 quarterback, as you'll see shortly.
Well, in my re-rank Friday, there was a comment:
My friend there (I omitted his name, but whatever, I’m calling him a friend) is free to disagree with me. In fact, that’s kind of the point I’m about to make. But as far as I can tell, his complaint is “hey, your rankings don’t look like all the other rankings I’ve seen.”
Forgive me, but huh?
There’s a reason we do consensus rankings, and don’t just pick one guy and have him rank. An individual person can know a lot, research more, guess some and come up with a rankings list. It might be good, it might be bad. A group of rankers is better. But if all those rankers agree, as my Friday buddy appears to desire, then all we’re getting is the same list 5-7 times.
Disagreements are important. If you don’t like my list (and you probably don’t, because everyone hates me), get in there and explain why. “This guy is missing a key receiver,” or “No way that guy stays healthy.” Sure. But if your critique is “Hey, your list doesn’t look like all the other lists,” I’m sorry, I don’t really know what to do with that.
Okay, on to the rankings. These are the updated rankings of my top 32 quarterbacks. Come Wednesday, we’ll have a full staff re-rank of all the positions, including PPR for key positions. Consider this a little rankings appetizer:
