I had my first draft for the 2015 NFL fantasy season just over a week ago, at a local Hooters, because I'm in a league with a bunch of clichés. I waited on tight end, because once I didn't get Rob Gronkowski I didn't care a whole lot about who I ended up with.
Fantasy football rankings 2015: One man’s top 32 tight ends
Is there really that much separating the guys in the middle tier of tight ends? We break down the top 32 fantasy football tight ends.

It was time (I decided around the 10th round) when I had more than filled out the rest of my lineup. Delanie Walker -- who as you'll see below I rank higher than most -- was still on the board, so that would work. Until my buddy Brad swooped in and grabbed him before I could.
My first reaction? I turned and gave Brad a death stare. Big ol' look with meaning behind it. To make matters worse, he already had Travis Kelce. He laughed and gave a he-totally-didn't-mean-it "Sorry, bud." I fumed over it for a few minutes, waited another couple rounds and ended up with Owen Daniels and Charles Clay.
So to sum up, I waited until the 12th round of a 12-team league to take my first tight end, and I ended up with a guy I rank No. 9 at the position, in Gary Kubiak's offense and with Peyton Manning as his quarterback, and another guy who has had multiple runs of production over the last two years. The moral of the story? Take Gronkowski if you can get him early. After that, by and large the answer is to wait. You might not get the exact guy you are targeting, but you will end up with quality at tight end. There are just so many "Okay, he'll do" guys that it doesn't make sense to dive on a guy who isn't significantly ahead of the rest of his position-mates.
