Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper continues to turn heads in his direction this summer, with Sunday's preseason performance being just the latest reason why.
Fantasy football draft strategy: Amari Cooper’s stock rising from highlight reel plays
The Raiders’ first-round pick continues to impress over the course of the summer. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cooper's highlight of the night came after displaying quick footwork to beat Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson on a comeback route. The wideout then proceeded to drag him and break tackles en route to a 36-yard gain. The fourth overall pick ended the evening with four catches for 62 yards, although it's also worth mentioning that he failed to secure two passes he should have had in the second quarter.
Fantasy Spin: Sunday’s game brings Cooper’s preseason total to eight catches for 124 yards, and the rookie has all but cemented his status as the Raiders’ No. 1 receiver to begin the season. With there being seemingly little competition for targets, Cooper is squarely in the WR2 competition and remains a strong bet to finish among the NFL leaders in targets.
Cooper’s stock continues to steadily rise as opening week approaches, and he’s currently going in the fourth round of drafts. It’s a steep price to pay for a technically unproven talent, but the highlight reels and college tape indicate that Cooper could be productive at the professional level. Cooper remains an aggressive, but justifiable selection in the fourth or fifth round.
