Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins returned to practice on Monday. Watkins had been sidelined the past week with a minor glute injury, missing the Bills’ third preseason game over the weekend. He is expected to be 100 percent for Buffalo’s Week 1 opener.
Sammy Watkins back at practice and ready to deliver for fantasy owners
Watkins returned to practice Monday after missing the past two preseason games. We break down the fantasy implications.

Watkins has had numerous minor injuries in his short NFL career but still played all 16 games in 2014. He also had hip surgery in the offseason that cost him the early part of training camp. Watkins had 65 catches for 982 yards and six touchdowns in his rookie year.
Fantasy impact: Watkins will probably be a mainstay on practice reports again this season, but we don’t expect him to miss any time. He had a strong training camp and could take a big leap in his second year. Unfortunately, he’s stuck in a run-first offense with the unproven Tyrod Taylor starting at quarterback. Watkins’ talent is undeniable, but Buffalo’s iffy offense caps his upside at the WR2 level.
