St. Louis Rams wide receiver Brian Quick has always shown signs and flashes of legitimate playmaking ability. Unfortunately, depth chart climbing and injuries have limited his opportunities to consistently produce. Last year was his best season yet, but he could only finish with 25 receptions for 375 yards and three touchdowns before ending the season on IR after seven games due to a severe shoulder injury. Despite the small sample size, Quick averaged a robust 15 YPC and a moderate 53.6 YPG despite dealing with uninspiring quarterback play from Shaun Hill and rookie Austin Davis.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 1: Brian Quick
The Rams receiver is expected to start. Will he see enough volume to produce for fantasy owners?
Fantasy Impact: The Rams were able to upgrade their quarterback situation by acquiring Nick Foles in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles. While Foles is no all-star, he's a huge upgrade for the team. While Kenny Britt is the only other receiving option that could challenge for the most targets, Quick is in line to see a healthy amount of targets every week. However, owners who drafted him on his sleeper appeal should wait a week before expecting a breakout game. The Seattle Seahawks still present a daunting match even without safety Kam Chancellor. Quick is a WR4 in Week 1.
