St. Louis Rams running back Tre Mason did not practice this week, and his status for Week 1 is in doubt. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Mason will test his injured hamstring before today's game, but the "outlook is grim."
Tre Mason injury update: Fantasy outlook grim for Rams RB in Week 1
St. Louis might be without its top two running backs to start the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Mason recently said he feels ready to play, but a player who doesn't practice at all is normally a bad bet to see action that week. Even if he manages to make the active list, the Rams will likely start running back Benny Cunningham.
Fantasy impact: With Todd Gurley out for at least a few weeks, Cunningham should be picked up in most fantasy leagues. He draws one of the worst matchups he could’ve asked for in Seattle, but Cunningham will be an every-down back if Mason is out.
Hamstring injuries can linger, so Mason’s status for Week 2 is in question if he can’t get on the field soon. Cunningham is at best a flex play for Week 1, but his stock would be up if he starts next week against Washington.
