Mike Evans injury update: Buccaneers WR inactive for fantasy owners
Mike Evans is likely inactive in Week 1. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Mike Evans' status in Week 1 seems to be going downhill. After suffering a hamstring injury in August, Evans was a questionable start leading into Sunday's opener against the Tennessee Titans. Reports seemed optimistic throughout the weekend. However, optimism has waned as Evans has become a shaky game-time decision on Sunday.
It's a disappointing development, as the Tennessee Titans would have a tough time matching up with Evans defensively. Cornerback Jason McCourty is sidelined with a groin injury. Vincent Jackson will have to carry a bit more of a workload. Both teams are operating with unproven rookies under center. Still, both Jackson and Evans performed well in 2014 despite their below average quarterback support.
Fantasy impact: Considering that Evans had a good chance of starting Week 1, it's very likely he'll be back for Week 1. While it's a disappointing development for Evans owners, Jackson owners should now make sure he's in their lineups. Jameis Winston could be a bit of a liability in his first NFL regular season appearance, but he has more potential than any quarterback Jackson worked with in 2014. Jackson is a strong WR2 option in all formats.
