In a decision that many did not see coming, Brian Quick was ruled inactive for Week 1. The St. Louis Rams receiver saw plenty of action during the preseason, and he wasn't listed on any injury reports leading into Sunday's game. Quick had shoulder surgery last year. For whatever reason, the Rams felt it was worth keeping him off the field for a week. Quick's absence leaves Kenny Britt and Tavon Austin as the team's primary receivers.
Brian Quick ruled inactive, Rams WR surprises fantasy owners with Week 1 scratch
Brian Quick won’t be playing in Week 1. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Quick was likely drafted in the later rounds of most fantasy drafts, so his inactive status shouldn't leave too many owners hanging dry for the start of the season. Still, it's a surprising development that only delays Quick owners in figuring out his value early in the season. Britt and Austin get a slight bump in most formats. However, they'll both have their work cut out for them as quarterback Nick Foles establishes chemistry with his offense against one of the league's toughest defenses. Britt is a WR4 in all formats. Austin is more of a flier in PPR formats.
