The Tampa Bay Buccaneers put up an abysmal performance in their 42-14 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Among the wreckage of Tampa Bay underachievers from the week, Austin Seferian-Jenkins was the lone gem.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins among top Week 1 tight ends, makes for great fantasy waiver grab
Austin Seferian-Jenkins is among top-tier fantasy company to start the season. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Seferian-Jenkins caught five passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns. He contributed to over 30 percent of quarterback Jameis Winston’s 16 completions for the afternoon. Winston had an awful week. He turned the ball over with two interceptions and fumbled twice.
Still, even while Winston was rattled for most of the afternoon, he leaned on Seferian-Jenkins for his two touchdowns.
Wide receiver Mike Evans didn't play on Sunday. Winston's weapons were very limited. However, Seferian-Jenkins was a clear safety blanket for Winston as he gets adjusted to the NFL.
Fantasy impact: Seferian-Jenkins is on over 40 percent of waiver wires right now (Yahoo!). That number should diminish heading into Week 2.
While he won’t necessarily sustain the kind of production we saw in Week 1 on a consistent basis, he’s an intriguing TE1 option as his rookie quarterback leans on him for high percentage completions.
Grab him for depth if needed, but Seferian-Jenkins deserves to be started until proven otherwise.
