In an ugly loss to the Miami Dolphins, Washington had very little in terms of silver lining. Running back Alfred Morris rushed for 121 yards. Pierre Garcon led the team with 74 receiving yards. However, tight end Jordan Reed was clearly a big part of the game plan. Reed was targeted a team-high 11 times, catching seven of his targets for 63 yards and a touchdown. Reed's touchdown was the only one for Washington all afternoon.
Jordan Reed contributes lone Washington touchdown, deserves waiver wire grab
Jordan Reed contributed one of the few impressive performances for Washington. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins struggled to overcome Miami’s defense. Cousins completed 21 passes for 196 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Cousins also fumbled the ball, which Washington recovered. Reed was Cousin’s more reliable target of the day. If DeSean Jackson misses significant time with his hamstring injury, Reed should see a boost in targets as Cousins relies on Reed for high-percentage completions.
Fantasy impact: There's never been a question that Reed is a talented tight end. Reed simply can't put in a full season. Still, with Niles Paul on IR, Reed could see the largest role of his career. He has a tough matchup against the St. Louis Rams in Week 2, but Reed is a TE1 option owned in only 56 percent of Yahoo! leagues right now.
