Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown is expected to start for the team when they take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, according to ESPN’s Tony Grossi. McCown has yet to pass the final test in the NFL’s concussion protocol at this point.
Josh McCown likely to start in team’s home opener, fantasy value still low
Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown should be under center against the Tennessee Titans. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Coach Mike Pettine expects McCown to be the guy that leads the Browns on Sunday. Given the circumstances, it’s obvious that Johnny Manziel is fighting an uphill battle for playing time.
Both quarterbacks looked subpar against the New York Jets in the season opener. Cleveland hasn’t had a solid quarterback in years and there’s no reason to think McCown or Manziel is going to light up the fantasy world anytime soon.
Fantasy owners and fans alike would be much more excited to see Manziel take on Tennessee’s Marcus Mariota just for the mere fact that both quarterbacks have gotten so much hype over the last two years. That said, none of Cleveland’s passers should be on a fantasy roster right now.
