Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford answered the call after halftime when it looked like he was destined for a dismal game on Monday night.
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 2: Sam Bradford
The Philadelphia Eagles signal caller turned in a mixed performance in his 2015 debut. We break down the fantasy implications.
Though the Eagles eventually lost 26-24 to the Atlanta Falcons, Bradford looked masterful after a dismal first half. Bradford completed 21 of 25 second-half passes for 219 yards, one touchdown and an interception that bounced off the hands of Jordan Matthews to end the game. Bradford finished the evening with a gaudy 336 yards resulting from 52 attempts.
Fantasy Spin: Though Bradford clearly had rust in the first half, he showed his fantasy owners that he can put up plenty of yards and points amid Chip Kelly's offense, which is exactly what his fans are looking for. The Dallas Cowboys aren't pushovers on defense, but will provide Bradford and company with opportunities that he is capable of capitalizing on.
Bradford remains a low-end QB1 and should provide a boon to fantasy owners who didn't spend a high draft pick on an elite quarterback option. There's plenty of upside to be had in this offense, as Nick Foles and Mark Sanchez demonstrated in 2014 when they combined for over 4,500 passing yards.
