Two teams in the NFC South lost in Week 1, and those two teams play one another on Sunday. Those teams are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who lost in embarrassing fashion to the Tennessee Titans, and the New Orleans Saints, who were roughed up by the Arizona Cardinals in their own loss. Neither team cracked 20 points in their 2015 debuts, and will look to get back to the good on Sunday.
Fantasy football advice, Week 2: Who to start/sit for Buccaneers vs. Saints
Two teams who disappointed wildly in Week 1 losses square off on Sunday, looking to get on the winning side of things.
Two big fantasy names are on the week's injury report, with one coming from each team. Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury, and said during the week that he was at 100 percent, but the team has not yet confirmed that he will play, although it looks increasingly likely. On the Saints side, running back C.J. Spiller missed Week 1 because of knee problems. He has improved, but it looks like he's questionable at best for Sunday.
The Saints get their first home game of the year on Sunday, hosting Tampa Bay at 1 p.m. ET. Time for a look at the fantasy names to consider:
BUCCANEERS
Start 'em?: In Doug Martin's defense, the Bucs fell behind so much so early Sunday that he didn't really have the chance to show much. On the other hand, we're now two-plus years into excuses for Doug Martin. He's a flex option right now. ... It's a really nice matchup against New Orleans, but the health questions make picking a Tampa Bay receiver difficult. If Mike Evans plays, he's a must-start and Vincent Jackson is a flex play. If Evans sits, Jackson becomes a much better option. ... Austin Seferian-Jenkins got himself two scores in Week 1, and while that won't happen regularly, he's such a tall target that he's appealing.
Sit 'em: It won't often be as bad for Jameis Winston as it was in Week 1, but until he shows some better signs, he's nowhere near a fantasy option. ... Kyle Brindza is not a fantasy option at kicker yet. ... The Buccaneers' defense was wildly disappointing in Week 1, and now draws Drew Brees in his home stadium.
SAINTS
Start 'em: While it's true that I'm not as high on Drew Brees as most who do fantasy rankings, he's still an absolute must-start in this matchup. ... Mark Ingram is going to get heavy usage, especially with C.J. Spiller still unhealthy. ... You didn't love the Week 1 for Brandin Cooks, but he should still be more than fine going forward.
Start 'em?: In a game that promises offense, Zach Hocker could get a lot of kicking opportunities.
Sit 'em: Even if C.J. Spiller plays, he's hard to trust until he shows something. And regardless of Spiller's status, Khiry Robinson doesn't make sense as much beyond a backup. ... You'll get some production out of both Marques Colston and Brandon Coleman, but the two will battle for targets and it's hard to trust them. ... All that offseason love for Josh Hill and Benjamin Watson as Jimmy Graham replacements vanished in a hurry in Week 1. ... Even against a Tampa Bay offense that underwhelmed in Week 1, you can't possibly trust the Saints' defense.
