Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas is practicing with the team in a limited fashion, but his debut won't occur in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins. Thomas has a finger injury that required surgery, and has been ruled out for Sunday's game.
Julius Thomas injury update: Jaguars TE won’t debut yet, out against Dolphins
Julius Thomas is getting there, but he’s still not ready for regular season action and won’t play against the Dolphins on Sunday.

Thomas was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but he was never really expected to play in Week 2. Since the beginning of the season, Thomas’ return has been speculated to be in or near Week 4.
Fantasy Spin: It’s encouraging to see Thomas practicing so early in the week, and getting in sessions all three days. That could mean he’ll return before the original estimate of Week 4, but for now fantasy owners should still plan as though he’ll miss that much time.
Thomas can be one of the more productive tight ends in fantasy once he actually returns to the lineup. Marcedes Lewis will continue to get snaps in his absence, with Clay Harbor also getting some looks from Blake Bortles and the Jaguars. Neither is a strong fantasy handcuff, however.
