Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson (hamstring) has officially been ruled out of the team's Week 2 matchup against the St. Louis Rams. Jackson did not participate in practice on Thursday or Friday and was never realistically expected to suit up this week.
DeSean Jackson injury update: WR ruled out for Washington, fantasy owners
Washington wide receiver DeSean Jackson has officially been ruled out for Week 2. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Spins: With Jackson on the sidelines, tight end Jordan Reed and fellow receiver Pierre Garcon project as the primary beneficiaries. Garcon finished last week's game against the Miami Dolphins with six catches for 74 yards. Reed also found success, finishing with a 7/63/1 line. Many of their respective targets were a result of Jackson being on the bench. With Jackson expected to miss another 2-3 weeks, the short-term outlook for Reed and Garcon is quite promising. While the Rams defense is generally a stingy unit, their secondary is their most vulnerable unit. With the pocket-passing Kirk Cousins under center, owners shouldn't be afraid to fire up Reed and Garcon as a TE1 and WR3 respectively.
