St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley is officially inactive for Week 2 against Washington. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams have always targeted Week 3 as the ideal time to put Gurley into action, so the 10th overall pick from the 2015 NFL Draft could make his debut next weekend.
Todd Gurley injury update: Fantasy owners without Rams RB for Week 2
St. Louis won’t be starting its first-round pick just yet. We break down the fantasy implications.

Tre Mason is officially active for the Rams, so he will take over as the lead back. Benjamin Cunningham will also be mixed in with Mason.
Fantasy impact: It’s the right move for the Rams. They shouldn’t rush Gurley’s debut, and they seem content making sure he’s completely ready to go. We could see the phenom suit up in Week 3 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Cunningham did a decent job filling in as the starter in Week 1, especially in the passing game, and he should continue to help out in that capacity. Mason is a flex play as a starter who could see around 15 touches.
