The Dallas Cowboys were already in trouble without wide receiver Dez Bryant -- out with a broken foot for a yet-to-be-determined amount of time -- with plans to lean on quarterback Tony Romo to get them through Bryant's absence. Those plans fell to the wayside when Romo left with his own injury, a broken clavicle suffered in the second half of Sunday's game.
Tony Romo breaks clavicle, wrecking fantasy value for a while
The Dallas quarterback was all set to be a stud with or without Dez Bryant, but his injury could force him out for half the season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Romo completed 18 of 27 passes for 195 yards before leaving. He didn't account for any scores but did rush for 12 yards and lost a fumble. After Romo left, backup Brandon Weeden took over and completed all seven of his pass attempts for 73 yards and a touchdown. Weeden added 11 rushing yards on three carries. Romo's injury will likely keep him out at least until November.
Fantasy impact: This is a brutal loss for a Dallas team that had title aspirations two weeks ago. Weeden filled in capably for Romo Sunday, but if he were capable of doing that for any length of time, he wouldn't be Brandon Weeden. With Jason Witten and Terrance Williams the team's top pass catching weapons, Dallas could struggle to put up many points during Romo's absence.
Expect a few things in the coming days: The Cowboys will talk about how good Weeden has looked in practice; a long-forgotten quarterback will get a call from the Cowboys (oh please oh please oh please let it be Kyle Orton); and another wide receiver will be added to the team's group of pass catchers from somewhere. Regardless, at this point, the only offensive players on Dallas worth serious investment are Witten, Joseph Randle and Dan Bailey.
