Eddie Lacy was carted off during the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. Lacy's X-ray came back negative, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, which means he avoided a fracture. The timetable for Lacy's return is not yet known. This leaves running back James Starks atop the Green Bay Packers' depth chart.
James Starks becomes hot fantasy waiver grab as Eddie Lacy recovers
James Starks will be the RB1 in Green Bay. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Starks played well in place of Lacy, finishing with 95 yards on 20 carries. He caught four receptions for 11 yards. He lost a fumble at one point, but was kept in the game despite the mistake. The Packers aren't a run-first offense by any means, but losing Lacy adds to a growing list of injuries on the Packers' roster. Jordy Nelson is out for the season with a torn ACL, and receiver Davante Adams is now playing through an ankle injury.
Fantasy impact: Starks isn't the explosive player that Lacy is, but he's a solid veteran with five years of experience in Green Bay. Aside from the occasional vulture work from fullback John Kuhn, Starks will see the majority of snaps in the Packers' backfield while Lacy is sidelined. Starks should be added in all formats as a solid RB2 option.
