A storyline not expected to make the rounds on Monday, following the showdown between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New Orleans Saints, is quarterback Drew Brees' struggles in what was a convincing win from the underdog Buccaneers.
Drew Brees’ shoulder affected Sunday’s poor fantasy output, per report
The Saints’ signal caller did not look like himself during the team’s 26-19 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Brees said via Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, that discomfort in his shoulder affected “a few throws” during Sunday’s loss, the source of which may have originated in taking a hit during the first half. The Saints’ signal caller finished the afternoon completing 24 of 38 passes for 255 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Fantasy Spin: There's no reason to expect Brees to miss any time in wake of taking a rough hit, especially given that he finished Sunday's outing. However, the loss of Jimmy Graham is palpable, and C.J. Spiller being limited has hampered the usual explosiveness that the Saints offense has prided itself on over the years.
Brees remains in the QB1 conversation despite a tough matchup from the Carolina Panthers in Week 3, although expectations should be tempered.
