The usual names were atop the box score for the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Running back Tevin Coleman had nine carries for 32 yards and a touchdown despite being carted off the field with a rib injury in the second quarter. Wide receiver Julio Jones led the team with 13 catches for 135 yards. However, behind Jones on the box score was receiver Leonard Hankerson. Surprisingly, Hankerson was targeted 11 times. He finished with 77 yards and a touchdown.
Leonard Hankerson has impressive Week 2, offers depth on waiver wire
Leonard Hankerson was the only receiver to score for the Falcons in Week 2. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Hankerson was coming off an underwhelming Week 1 performance. He started the season with two receptions for 16 yards. Roddy White wasn’t a factor at all in the receiving game on Sunday. With Julio Jones dominating touches, Hankerson could be emerging as the team’s second option in the receiving game.
Fantasy impact: Hankerson's Week 2 performance is a severe contrast from his Week 1 offering. In fantasy football, it typically means there will be a lack of consistency from Hankerson. Of course, we're dealing with a very small sample size here. Still, Hankerson has seen opportunities in the past with Roddy White's injury history and has been unable to impress. We're leaning toward Hankerson's week as a bit of a fluke. Still, the reality is that Matt Ryan needs another option other than Julio Jones. Hankerson is worth grabbing purely for depth at this point. He's a WR4 that may end up being more of a streaming option for any fantasy owner dealing with injuries or a bye week.
