No team had more hype in the preseason than the Philadelphia Eagles. Well, now no team is more disappointing, with their 0-2 record and embarrassingly bad offense. On the season, quarterback Sam Bradford has 560 yards, two scores and five turnovers, good for just a 24.0 total QB rating. Basically, his season so far can be summed up by his official player image (via ESPN):
Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 3: Sam Bradford is tough to play
Sam Bradford has been awful this season. Can his fantasy owners trust him in a bad matchup?
He looks shocked. Anyway, Bradford's season doesn't get any easier against the New York Jets defense. The Jets lead the NFL in takeaways with 10, so the Eagles are really going to have to take care of the ball. Plus, cornerback Darrelle Revis should be able to cover Nelson Agholor -- Revis doesn't really cover the slot, so it shouldn't affect receiver Jordan Matthews.
Fantasy impact: If you’re in a DFS tourney, it might not be a crazy idea to use Bradford for his upside because not many will play him. However, season-long owners and cash games really can’t trust Bradford right now. He still should be stashed on benches in 12-team leagues.
