Drew Brees injury update: Saints QB is inactive for Week 3, fantasy owners turn to other options
Drew Brees isn’t going to play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
McCown is best known for his commercial with Verizon about backups getting a chance to show what they can do, so this one will come true for him. He hasn't started in a game since 2011 and only had a 39.0 passer rating in that season -- not good. Things are not looking up for the Saints this week. On top of having a bad match up on the road, the Saints are banged up with receiver Brandin Cooks also on the injury report for an ankle issue -- he is probable, though.
Fantasy impact: You're basically benching every Saint this week except for maybe running back Mark Ingram, who is really nothing more than an RB18-24 this week. With Brees hurt, receiver Brandon Coleman is barely worth owning.
