Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz will still see the field less than incumbent starter Brent Celek in 2015, according to a report from the Phildelphia Daily News.
Zach Ertz to play fewer snaps than Brent Celek, only relevant in deep fantasy leagues
The Eagles appear set on giving Brent Celek more snaps than Zach Ertz once again. We break down the fantasy implications.

Under head coach Chip Kelly, the Eagles have always emphasized the running game, and Celek offers more than Ertz in this department. As a result, he is likely to lead the team in snaps with Ertz recovering from a core-muscle injury, and with Ertz being better suited to catch passes than block.
Fantasy Spin: This isn’t the most encouraging news for those hoping for an Ertz breakout, although it’s worth mentioning that he still put up a respectable 58/702/3 line in 2014 despite having less playing time than Celek. Should there be slight uptick in Ertz’s workload, he can put himself back in the TE1 conversation.
For now, while Ertz recovers from his injury, he isn’t likely to see the field enough to warrant fantasy consideration in standard leagues upon his return. Celek remains off the fantasy radar as well, predominantly being used as a blocker despite his pass-catching ability.
