Atlanta Falcons running back Tevin Coleman sat out Wednesday's practice, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Tevin Coleman sits Wednesday practice, unlikely to play Sunday for Falcons, fantasy owners
The Falcons continue to rest their rookie running back due to a rib injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Coleman continues to work his way back from a rib injury, which he suffered in Week 2's victory over the New York Giants. But after Devonta Freeman's three-touchdown performance, there isn't much reason for the Falcons to rush their rookie back into game action. Coleman's rib injury is one that pushes the limits of the pain threshold, and with proper management, he could conceivably return to the field. However, with the offense performing at a continued high level, there's not as much incentive to force Coleman back into action too soon.
Fantasy impact: Coleman's status will have to be monitored in the coming days, but it doesn't appear likely that he will return for Week 4. Devonta Freeman can be penned into lineups across the board after his explosive Week 3 vs. the Dallas Cowboys, as he remains a candidate for 20 touches or more.
Freeman can be considered a volume-dependent RB2, but Coleman’s return will likely affect that. For now, Coleman’s owners can keep him safely stashed.
