Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin remains the "primary ball carrier," according to the Tampa Bay Times' Greg Auman.
Doug Martin dubbed ‘primary ball carrier,’ per report, is a potential steal in fantasy leagues
After two dismal seasons, Doug Martin appears revitalized and has distanced himself from the other running backs on the roster. We break down the fantasy implications.

It's worth mentioning due to Martin's second straight dismal season in 2013, and with second-year running back Charles Sims receiving his staff's praises during his rookie season. But with Sims leaving much to be desired in terms of his production, and with him having a rough preseason, a rejuvenated Martin has put distance between him and the rest of the depth chart.
Fantasy Spin: With Sims’ struggles, and Martin displaying the burst and elusiveness that harkened back to his fabulous rookie season, the Buccaneers appear to have clarity to their backfield to open the year. Even with his climbing average draft position, Martin being taken at the end of the third round would be favorable in leagues of all formats.
It’s fair for fantasy owners to be skeptical given Martin’s lull over the past two seasons, but savvy ones can take advantage of the others sleeping on him. The approach to adding him to teams should still be a cautious one, but it would be wise to pounce if he falls on draft day.
